Susana on Les Papillons:
I sampled EMERGENT BEAUTY, CRIMSON MIMICRYAND FLUTTER-BY. All i can say is WOW the have the most intense color and i love that they have a little shimmer of something extra to make them even more special!! I cannot wait to purchase a full size of EMERGENT BEAUTY and sample some more of these gorgeous colors!!
Fresco Phyrra on Les Papillons:
You don’t want to miss out on these colors as they’re really gorgeous. My recommendations are Emergent Beauty, which is a breathtaking burgundy, Soul Takes Flight, which is a gorgeous dark grey/black shade with a rainbow of sparkles, Air & Light which is an AMAZING highlighter shade unlike anything I’ve ever tried before, and Zephyr’s Breeze, an unusual and pretty bright green. All of these colors are gorgeous.
Elisabeth on Les Papillons:
For the first time ever, I purchased an entire sample set because I loved every single shade in Les Papillions when I saw the previews. They did not disappoint in person--in fact, the pictures really do not do justice to how beautiful and richly pigmented these shadows are. By now I have tried all of the colours, and there isn’t even one that I don’t like. I really, really hope that Les Papillons will become a permanent eyeshadow collection. *crossing fingers*
Gothchiq on Les Papillons:
I tried samples of dormant dream, emergent beauty, and crimson mimicry, applied over the Aromaleigh shadow base.
These are really unique colors! Very flattering on my pale olive skin tone. The color has lots of impact, just the right amount of shimmer. I think this is an excellent collection.
Petaledsoul on Gothic Lolita Starbright Powders:
I finally broke out my Starbright (for Anime Weekend Atlanta, fittingly enough), and I gotta say - I love it. This product is pure delightful fun. It doesn’t scream OMG GLITTERZ!! but the shimmery bubblegum tint is still super cute, and much more forgiving for those of us who aren’t 18 any more.
Nancy on Jojoba Lipgloss Base:
I love this stuff! It goes on smooth and it makes my lips feel soft. My two granddaughters (Bri & Syd) and I had a lip gloss making party last weekend. We used the little sifter jars and mixed up several different colors. I know what I’m getting them for Christmas!
Gothchiq on "Tapestry" from Opulent Lustre Collection:
Tapestry is a great crease color to go with any of the other opulent lustres. You could also dry line with it. It’s a very rich color with dimensions to it, far from just a plain black.
Dawn on Eye Plush Collection:
I have seven full-size colors and soon I’ll have eight, since they went on sale again.
I love this collection because they’re so soft and subtle...not glittery or bold. They do go with everything and when I’m in a hurry to get ready for work a wash of color can be done well with this collection. I like to use Sunny Disposition for highlighting the brow.
Petaledsoul on Elemental Lustre Eye Collection:
I’ve been pleased with every color I’ve sampled from this collection, but my absolute favorite is Underworld. The color is so unusual (but not freaky)... it’s different than any purple I’ve ever tried. Brown eyed girls, you MUST give this one a try - it does amazing things for the gold flecks in my eyes.
Violin Chick on Glissade Foundation Powder:
This makeup is wonderful. Coverage lasts and there are so many selections, that your skin tone can be matched exactly. Aromaleigh offers so many more options that other mineral makeup companies!
PetaledSoul on Eyeshadow Primer and Base:
This project sort of perplexes me. It melted ridiculously easily - I think I was in Target about 20 minutes when it happened. I’m not sure if it that changed the texture (but it sure made it messy), but it feels very tacky which sometimes makes it hard to smooth onto my lids. On the other hand, it definitely gives my shadows more pop and staying power vs. bare skin. It’s definitely worth trying, but I find myself more pleased with my AL cream shadows as a base.
(Note from Aromaleigh: The tiniest little bit of this product is all that is needed- just a pat of product on your finger onto the lids. The biggest mistake that women use with primers is to use too much. Less is more is definitely best with any primer. If the product is "melting", you are using far more than is needed for amazing results. HTH!
Emilie on Shadowoflove Rocks! Sonic Eyes:
I love shadowoflove! I’m a girl that loves simple and sweet colours. I fell in love with this. The glitter isn’t too much, it’s rather big glitters and the colour is so frickin cute!
You should definitely wear a base with this, unless it’ll just fall off. Thats no problem, you just wear the base :]
But yeah, I’m so happy with this colour, I’m sure it’ll be supercharming on anyone. Especially young girls like me, cause it’s really just cute...
Gothchiq on Aromaleigh Rocks! Sonic Eyes:
I got Blue Orchid and Obsession on my last order. These things are unbelievably fabulous! Just put on some primer and the color on your lids will be just like the color in the jar. I decided to layer and blend some areas so I blended with a damp brush. That worked nicely. I have never seen color impact like this with any other brand. I will be getting more colors!
Teresa on Voile Mineral Foundation:
AL rescued this 48 y/o from a lifetime of foundation misery way back in Jan ’03 - and since then I haven’t even considered using another brand of foundation - yes, it’s really that good.
So when my 13 y/o daughter asked to begin using foundation this year, I ordered a few Voile samples for her to try - it was a very easy color match, she’s a cool and I’m a warm - I learned that daughters may inherhit many of our physical features, but not necessarily our same skintone.
Her complexion has improved SO MUCH since using AL’s "Nocturne" nightly and "Voile" during the day. And even now with her Voile foundation applied, she looks so natural, not at all made-up - when I look at her I still see my sweet, baby-faced, bare-skinned little beauty.
So Mom’s happy, teen-aged daughter’s happy, and hopefully AL’s happy to be selling to 2nd generations!
Thanks so much Kristen for making the world’s very best mineral foundation! :):):)
Gothchiq on Indelible Eyeliner Sealant:
This works well for foiling minerals on the lid, providing better color impact and less (not zero) fallout, but as far as using my minerals as eyeliner, I did not have much luck. When it dried, the minerals fell out as if I had used plain water. I’ll keep foiling with this and go back to cream liners.
