As we've been switching over to our new reviews system the last few weeks, I've been remiss in posting and approving reviews from the queue... It's been a challenge to get everything functioning properly and learn the new software, so I do sincerely apologize for this delay. We'll be back to normal, soon! Girl Scout's honor...
I am approving and posting these in the order in which they are received- I have 168 to go through, so there will be a series of blog posts! Thanks for your patience, and mostly... for your reviews!!!

Miss K
PS- I've only come across a few reviews that are a sentence long or just a string of words... I can't approve these reviews or the reward points associated with them. A review has to be at least several sentences, a paragraph that talks about the product, it's benefit's and your experience with it. "This lipbalm is the best, I love it, my lips are soft" is nice to hear, but it's not a product review. Just had to include this, because now that customer reward points are being received for reviews, trying to write as many reviews as possible or copying and pasting the same statement from review to review and changing just color names is something that could occur.
Rochelle on Elemental Lustres eyeshadows:
I love this collection!
I think this is the collection I have been most impressed with thus far. Every color has been amazing, especially foiled. I have yet to find a color in this collection that isn't wearable, blendable, and flattering in some way.
Stacey on "Greenhell" from Rocks! Sonic Eyes:
This may be my new favorite! It looks BRIGHT, but when applied, is this gorgeous green. I makes my hazel eyes POP! If you haven't sampled it, give it a try, and I am sure you will be addicted! PROS: Fabulous green. Very springy! CONS: Still looking for one!
Nea on Aromatherapy Lipbalms:
My favorite lipbalms! These are my favorite lips balms! Moisturing, no nasty ingredients and the smell is just divine :)
I love French cocoa Bliss, Pink Grapefruit Parfait & Just the balm Ma'am. There are still several frangrances I want to test later! My daughter loves Sugar plum fairy and my son Licorice twist.
The only ones I didn't like are Down under (I just hate the smell of tea tree oil) and Jonesing for java (I hate coffee :D). PROS: moisturinzing, many fragrances to choose from (including unscented one), no nasty ingredients, suitable for kids too CONS: None!
Nea on Gothic Lolita Metamorphosis Finishing Powder:
Magic! How can this shimmery GREEN powder work so well? I doesn't look green on me but cancels some redness on my skin, which is a good thing :D. I love this powder!
I have a light neutral skin and use mixture of 50% Metamorphosis and 50% Parfait.
Holly on Amarante (revisiting the Bete Noire collection)
I reviewed this line quite a while back and said that they were too glittery for me. I've decided that I may have been wrong now that I've tried a few more. Amarante in particular has softened my point of view and made me come around a little more.
Like I said in my previous review, the colors are beautiful. Really, they are. That was never the issue. For me, the issue was that there's very distinct glitter in these shadows and quite a bit of it in some shades. I don't really do glitter. Shimmer, sure, if it's small and unobtrusive, but not full-out glitter. PROS: gorgeous colors, apply beautifully CONS: very glittery (at least in my opinion)
Holly on "Salome" Bete Noire Femme Glitter:
I'm still not sure why I ordered a sample of Salome. I don't wear glitter. I usually try to add a couple more dollars to my order if I'm at the pricepoint for a free glitter (to bump me up to another bracket) because I know I just won't wear it. Sure, it's pretty and sparkley in the container. I like looking at it. I don't like wearing it.
But Salome was so pretty. I love a gorgeous deep red and it looked intriguing with it's little bits of black mixed in with the red. So I got a free sample and let me say it's the most beautiful glitter I own (and yes, I do own a few, mainly reds that I can mix with lipgloss).
I don't think Salome will look right as a lipgloss add-in for me, but on the rare occasions that I'm in a glittery mood, it makes for an amazing eyeliner. It's dark and dramatic but fun and sexy. PROS:beautiful color, versatile (if you wear glitter), multi-dimensional CONS: A little dark to wear in lipgloss (for me, anyway)
Holly on Les Papillons: Crimson Mimicry, Earthly Delights, Air & Light:
I've been trying to cut down on my makeup spending, since I go barefaced most days, so I've only tried a few colors from the Les Papillons collection.
Crimson Mimicry wasn't one I initially planned on buying, but it kept grabbing my attention every time I looked at the collection, so I ended up getting a full jar right off the bat. I have to say that I'm glad I did. Red is a hard eyeshadow shade to pull off (IMO, anyway), but this one's a beauty. It's less vibrant than Helterskelter but more vibrant than PH Ruby. I personally think its very wearable for a red shadow.
Earthly Delights was one that I wanted from the beginning but I almost didn't order (I know, strange). I figured it was close enough to all my other taupey AL shades that I didn't need it, so I got a sample instead of a full jar (compromising to be reasonable). It's gorgeous. It's like a distant cousin of several of the Elemental Lustres. A kind of metallic taupe with bits of silver. Lovely.
Air & Light was another I was expecting to love, but it turned out to be the only disappointment. On my screen, it looks like a pale, shimmery dove grey. In actuality, it's a slightly silvery white with lots of iridescent shimmer. Not really my cup of tea, but I imagine others might like it a lot.
Holly on Indelible Creme Eyeshadow in "Intergalactic":
Gorgeous, heavily pigmented, super creamy and easy to spread. Makes a great base for grey and silver shadows. It's easy to overdo it with these, though. You only need a tiny dab! PROS: heavily pigmented, creamy, easy to apply CONS: Messy if you use too much by accident
Korrin on Les Papillons Limited Edition Eye Collection:
This is my first review since I discovered Aromaleigh. This is also the 1st LE collection launch I've been around for. What a great one to experience. So glad I didn't miss out on these. I ordered all the samples and purchase 13 or 14 full sizes. Minus a few colors I know I just wouldn't wear because they're not in my personality, but they are gorgeous.
My favorites include Air & Light, Butterfly Kisses, Dormant Dream, Fragile Charm, and Vigil of Chance. These ALL go great together. I love all the amazing color combinations that I can do with these. There are a few I still have worn, but the time will come soon!
Zephyr's Breeze, Glowing Luna, Golden Chrysalis, Crimson Mimicry, Flutura's Cloud, Ephemeral Violet, and Flying Flower have all been purchased full size, but yet to really be experimented with. I'm so glad they're in my collection!
Tally on Les Papillons "Air & Light" and "Crimson Mimicry"
These are two of my favorite shadows from this collection. Air and Light is silvery, but able to worn by those who cannot normally wear silver (due to the whitish-cream tint and multi-colored shimmer). It looks striking when worn full lid, lashes to brows (getting lighter with the application as you get to the brows) with a strong black eyeliner.
Crimson mimicry is a very wearable red for me since to me it doesn't look exacty red, but pink-red. I did FOTDs for both of these colors on the forum! :)
Rohana on Rocks! Sonic Eyes in "Agent Orange"
I am auburn redhead with medium slight freckled skin and dark brown eyes. Seems like I have been hunting for that natural looking orange lip color we sometimes see in covershots or red carpet pics of celebrities and models. An orange that looks like natural lip color but better - that has sense of spring about it, that does not make your teeth look yellow and that looks amazing with a light spring or olive as part of your eyeshadow palette. I light my lips in natural color and smooth on agent orange like a stain and then coat with little gloss or just leave it matte. I can even dust a bit on the cheeks, too. It looks gorgeous, young and fresh and I am 63, so that is saying a lot! My lifetime hunt for the right orange lipcolor is finally over! It was one of my first Aromaleigh color samples and I have already ordered the full size. AND I am building my notebook of colors - I feel so set free from feeling like I had to avoid shadow with any sheen or frost or sparkly or complexity - AL goes on so beautifully, they actually kick up the whole look a notch and can be wore subtly and to beautiful effect. PROS: Color, texture, hardest color to find, unique, great for lipcolor and cheek color. CONS: none
Rebecca on Rocks! Sonic Eyes "Moonagedaydream"
Stunning! I just received this full size jar in the mail, and I must say that it exceeds my expectations! It shows up as a gorgeous smoky dark teal on my olive skin, and it just pops with a nice vibrant gold in the inner corner of the eyes. A must have! PROS: One-of-a-kind color
Lasts all day CONS: none!
Rebecca on "Bette" from Bete Noire Eye Collection:
Out of this world beautiful! This grey shade is unlike any other! I am really loving the Bete Noire E/S collection! Bette makes a fierce smoky eye! I believe that it is a very wearable color that would work well with many skintones! PROS: Gorgeous and unique color, lasts all day CONS: none!
Becky on Les Papillons LE Eye Collection:
Look at the pretty colors! I adore all of the colors in this collection, even if I personally can't pull them all off. Glowing Luna is my favorite, however, and it looks amazing with blue eyes.
Leslie Erin on Pure Hues:
Sad to see these go, but change is good. I will stock up on these. These are so versatile and a good value. I like to mix shades sometimes to create my own color. Also have used many like tea rose, moire, and many more for fabulous lip colors. I love russet and zinfandel for fall time. Coco bean is another staple color. Own the whole collection and love just about every color. Will miss them. PROS: Affordable, versatile, great assortment of colors CONS: sad to see them go.
Samantha on Le Mystere #107 Eyeshadow:
Softly romantic. this is a beautiful shade of eyeshadow that I wish was a permanant shade! It is a beautiful, subtle, romantic shade of rosy pink that if applied to the lids only gives a soft, dewy look that is both natural and attention grabbing. It draws attention to your eyes, not the eyeshadow. So for thise of you looking for something a little less dramatic than your average Aromaleigh shadow, this is the one you want. PROS: Beautiful, soft, shimmery without being glittery. CONS: Not a permanent shade!!!!
Leslie Erin on Pure Eyes Lustre:
Beautiful Colors with smooth finish. Love them! Smooth and soft .Glides on easy. Gorgeous wet or dry application.
Jennifer on Quintessential and Verve Pure Rouges:
I love Aromaleigh Pure Rouges - in particular, I'm a huge fan of both Quintessential and Verve.
Quintessential is my "go-to" blush -- the one I reach for when I want to look great but don't want to think about how to do it, the one that gives that super natural, fresh color to my face. It's a soft mauve-ish color, with a little pink, and the finish is not glittery or shimmery, but not completely matte either. It's just perfect for everyday wear.
Verve is the blush I reach for when I want to kick my look up a notch, the one that gives that sexy glow in addition to natural color. This color actually is quite similar to that famous NARS blush everyone gushed about - it's pink, red, peach, and gold all rolled into one smooth blush. When applied, it provides a very natural flush with a shimmery gold highlight. Beautiful!!
PROS: smooth, soft, beautiful colors CONS: None!
Fiomarie on "Elegie" from En Pointe LE eyeshadow collection:
This is the most amazing dark shade/black!! The multi-color shimmer is so nice and girly. It is the epitome of class when worn as a smokey eye, I always feel like my eyes sparkle behnind my glasses when I wear it. This would definitely be a great addition to the permanent collection.
FioMarie on Spring Solstice LE Eye Collection:
Spring all year long! Like all of the eyeshadows at aromaleigh, this collection works for all seasons. All of the colors I've tried, I end up loving, however, I have a special fondness for Tansy and Chicory. These two colors complement my skin tone wonderfully. Bellflower is a beautiful violet as well and I love using either Ondberry or Godetia for a monochromatic look on the eye and cheek. I wish that I had bought the whole sample collection; I skipped many of the lighter shades because of my cocoa skin tone. I learned my lesson . . . sample everything!!!!
FioMarie on Hot in the City LE Eye Collection:
A bonanza of color! This is one of my favorite collections. I love color and this collection has vivid ones. I am characteristically drawn to Asphalt, Gridlock and Skyscraper for their darkness, but I found the biggest surprise in Return to Tiffany's and Late for Work. I wore these blues under my lower lashline on separate occasions and "WOW"! Colors like Italian Ice, Neon Lights and Heat Wave have tones that don't quite complement me, but when worn as just small sparks of color, they can work. I really look forward to this collection's 2-week return.
Samantha on Pure Hues:
R.I.P Pure Hues. Beautiful colors and so much fun to mix and play with!!! I would purchase the whole set before they go if I had the money! I can't think of a color here that isn't as beautiful on as it is in the chart. PROS: Beautiful, fun, versital, colorful, inspires creativity. CONS: It's going away!
Pearl on Twilight Supernatural Face and Body Powders:
this stuff is just ridiculously gorgeous. the sparkles in this are iridescent and you can only see a subtle shimmer from far away but when up close and in the light you can see the glitter twinkle on your skin. and you really don't need to a lot! i use a cheap flimsy brush that doesn't pick up too much product and just dust it on my cheeks first then whatever's left i sweep all over. i wear the voile in 3yl and i don't notice it whitening my complexion at all! PROS: doesn't whiten my skin, subtle but really dances in the light!
Melissa on Les Papillons LE Eye Collection:
The Limited Edition collections are always gorgeous, and this one is no different. Les Papillons provides a wide selection of breathtaking shades, promising there will be a shade for everyone. The shades that caught my eye when the collection first came out were the purples, since I'm always searching for that perfect purple, the beautifully pigmented Flutura's Cloud, and the magenta-purple of Dormant Dream. As always, I ordered samples first. I was surprised to find that two of my favorite colors were Glowing Luna and Zephyr's Breeze, two colors that I wasn't expecting to be anything special. I'm planning full sizes of the two, as well as Ephemeral Violet, which is a subtly intense spark of purple. Glowing Luna is a beautiful lid shade, and Zephyr's Breeze combines nicely with it, as well as golden yellow shades like Golden Chrysalis or Italian Ice from the previous Hot in the City collection. In short, these are some beautiful colors.
L on Metamorphosis finishing powder:
Metamorphosis Finishing Powder - The BEST Finishing Powder I have ever used! I ordered Metamorphosis with my first order and was very pleased once I received it. Once I opened the jar I noticed the slightly green pigment to it and I wondered if it would help my skin. My skin is naturally very pale but has a few red spots. When I applied Metamorphosis it made my face a perfect pale color that glitters, made my whole face an even color pigment and gives me a very healthy looking pale glow. It looks amazing in inside light and outside light. Photographs make your face glow and make you look amazing!
I use Metamorphosis over the Cherub mineral powder to give a very pretty combined look.
I highly suggest Metamorphosis for anyone who loves a nice amount of glitter and if you suffer from slight red spots/blotches on your face! I love Metamorphosis and I will be buying it again once I run out!PROS: Removes redness
Glitters
Amazing Pigment
Photograph Friendly
Doesn't Feel Heavy
CONS: None
L on "Cherub" Luminesce Divine Finishing Powder:
Cherub is beautiful but is not good alone for anyone with pink/red blotches! I was suggested Cherub by a friend. Cherub looked lovely on her and really made her face glow!
I bought Cherub hoping for the same look but it did not stand out enough for me. I have a very pale complexion but I have a few pink/red blotches on my face that it does not seem to cover but it did give an angelic look that glows. Very beautiful but it did not feel like it was enough for me since I like to have a very pale complexion with any redness removed. This finishing powder might be best for someone without any pink/red in their face and has a natural perfect complexion.
Using Cherub with Metamorphosis Finishing Powder makes the perfect combination for me -- Angelic, Glows, Removes Redness, Paleness and glitters!
I love how light Cherub Finishing Powder is. I barely feel it when I wear it! It may not be the best finishing powder to use alone for me but combine with Metamorphosis Finishing Powder it is amazing! :)PROS: Very nice for perfect complexions
Gives a beautiful angelic glow
Feels very light on the skinCONS: Does not remove redness
Morgenstern on Perfect Finish Setting Spray:
Product smells wonderful and soothing and cooled on contact with my face, causing a very pleasant sensation. However, as others have mentioned, it comes out in an uneven spray when what is really required is a fine even mist. I realise this is a function of the packaging but getting little cold drops all over my face kind of got old and didn't do much to help set my face. I don't think my skin liked it too much anyways, so when I ran out I chose not to get another one but look into moisturizers to help hold my powder, with better results. (they still don't smell as nice though...) PROS: Great Smell
Cooling and Soothing SensationCONS: Bad Delivery System
Didn't Really Set Makeup
Skin Didn't Really Care For It
Morgestern on Stay-Put Brow Pencil:
I actually started colouring and shaping my brows with auburn brow tint but I came to reorder it and found it was no longer available so I decided to try these pencils. I generally avoid pencils or powders as my eyebrows seem impervious to them and it invariably looks clownish but these had good reviews and the Cherokee colour appeared to match the beautiful auburn I had in the brow tint. I was sadly disappointed when I received it and it looked nothing like the picture or the description, instead being much lighter and actually a bit orange. I tried it anyways and it did not feel good on my fickle brows (the hairs themselves are thick like my eyelashes, they really like the holding power of liquid, pencils feel like clay on them) and was essentially invisible because I need a true dark red-brown, not this weird light brown-orange colour. However I will say the pencil glides on smoothly and I don't hold my own experience against the quality of this product.
Morgenstern on Silk Primer Powder:
After fumbling about with a sample of this I decided to try a full size and it has been part of my face kit ever since. It glides on silky smooth, feels like a dream, gives the right amount of coverage over my moisturizer so my Voile glides on effortlessly over the top and really preps my face to stay beautifully covered all day. I use a smoothy flocked sponge for both my silk and Voile and the coverage and long-lasting wear is just wonderful. It just adds that little extra refinement for a perfectly smooth, matte face that needs no finishing powders, I already have one underneath! I do get a tad oily around my nose during the day and it is hard-pressed to deal with the awful heatwaves in the summer (I'm very heat-intolerant) but minerals and powder can only do so much in the face of so much heat and sweat on my poor face, though it does help and keeps it cleaner than powder alone or nothing, also helps prevent my face from getting overly oily and breaking out, especially in said heat.
