Aubrey on Alchemy Pure Hue:
Attractive, smooth, as described. This is a nice smooth shadow that spreads just a tinge of gold and silver along - as promised! I'm finding that it's an excellent highlight for many, many color combinations. It may become a go-to highlighter for me.
Aubrey on Elemental Lustres in "Torment"
Liquid rage! Torment is a really cool color. It adds a neat metallic "bruise" when applied dry, but WOW! When wetlined, this color is pure molten burgundy. Very pretty, but unusual. PROS: Striking Color
Blends Easily
Great LinerCONS: none
KathleenBM on Adobe Pure Hue:
This is a great everyday shade! Can easily be used alone as an all-over or combined with bolder colors for more vibrant effects! (I love using it with purples :) ) I have also gotten nice results from combining adobe with teal or aqua eyeliner.
I have fair skin & blue eyes, but I think this shade would work just as well on all skintones. PROS: Can be used to accomplish a huge variety of looks! CONS: Doesn't stay on too well w/out primer.
KathleenMB on the Smudge taklon brush:
one of my all time top 5 brushes!! I LOVE this brush!! I have very sensitive skin and have a hard time achieving the smudgy/smokey looks I love with most brushes. Usually my eyes water so badly I weep off all of my work : ( This brush has been a total life saver!!! The bristles are dense enough to smudge products easily (so I don't have to irritate my skin with repeated scrubbing) but are soft enough to not irritate my lash line. YAY!
This baby goes with me everywhere!! Worth every penny ! PROS: Soft but effective. Holds up really well! Great price.
Aubrey on Rocks! Sonic Rouge in Wildflower and Femmefatale:
I haven't used blush in years for two reasons: I'm so pale, most blushes look horrid on my skin, and second, I've broken out to every blush I tried.
I really went out on a limb to try Rocks! Sonic Rouge because the colors look BRIGHT.
First, Wildflower is a unique berry purple and I was honestly not attracted to it when it came in the mail... until I put it on! The color is sheer and without a doubt the most beautiful, youthful color I've ever worn on my cheeks. On me, it looks like a midtone berry, but in a natural way. Again, I'm pale, cool, and with pink undertones and I wear my hair in shades of red, so I love that this is flattering on me.
Second, Femmefatale was my "safe" choice. I figured the pretty pink would look nice on my cool skintone. It is nice, but since this line is matte, I actually found it to be a little flat. I'll still be wearing it with lighter looks, and I think it will be lovely in spring.
Finally, I have no breakouts to report. I've been particularly sensitive to rouge in the past; breaking out within hours of application. Nothing of the sort with these pretty colors. I think it has a lot to do with how little product I actually have to wear to get that glow. A pinch is enough to cover all the contours of my face!PROS: Sheer and flattering.
A little goes a long way.
Doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.CONS: The matte finish looked a little flat on my light skin.
Aubrey on "Juliette" Bete Noire Lip:
I've had the chance to try quite a few Aromaleigh lip colors now, and it's safe to say that Juliette is my favorite shade so far. I'm pale, with cool pink undertones, and Juliette's wine, gloss color works really well for me.
The formula itself is pretty good. It's creamy, and has good color payoff, so it's not necessary to wear tons. However, the scent is not entirely to my liking (I can "taste" it in the back of my mouth), and I've noticed a bit of clumping during application.
That being said, I think Juliette is a wonderful "everyday" color. I also like how my lips feel after I've had it on for awhile: hydrated and smooth.PROS:Creamy.
Beautiful, natural color.
Hydrating.CONS: Not the greatest scent.
Clumps a bit.
Nea on Rocks Sonic Lip Tint in "Blankgeneration" and "headoverheels"
I'm light colored and I was worried that these are far too bright/dark for me but I'm so glad I tried Rocks lip colors! These are sheer and give just the right amount of color. And feel so nice :) Blankgeneration gives nice "I've been eating blueberries" look.
PROS:Wearable colors, moisturizing formula
CONS: none!
Nea on Wildflower Rocks! Sonic Rouge:
Wildflower is simply amazing! Don't let to color scare you, I have light skin and this looks so pretty. I'd recommendend to use just a tiniest bit of this with fiber optic blush brush.
Nea on Pomegranate Pure Rouge:
I had hard time choosing which color to order but one day I just added full size of pomegranate to the cart :) And I'm so glad that I did! This is so pretty and "easy" color. Fruity and delicious. I have light neutral coloring.
Nea on Dolly, Corset and Rococo Pure Rouge:
These colors are all so lovely!
Dolly is beautiful clear pink and Rococo is so pretty, just maybe a bit too shimmery for my taste. The color is just perfect though :)
I was so surprised when I bought full size of Corset because of the good reviews. I have never liked red blush but this one is just divine! I'd say this looks apple red on my light skin, very nice!
Ashley on "Jolie" from the Bete Noire Eye Collection:
This color is gorgeous. Because my skin has greenish undertones, I can use reds and wines as my drama color, and Jolie is perfect for this. It goes very well as an accent with Sabine on the lid and in the crease, and a lighter color on the browbone.
Lauren on Watermelon Pure Hue:
For reference, my coloring:
Foundation: Mix of 1W & 2W
Hair: Strawberry blonde
Eyes: Grey-blue
This is the product that led me to find Aromaleigh! I was tired of how other mineral makeups looked "dirty" on my skin- especially blush. I needed Color, not a variation of brown. I found Aromaleigh and one of the first samples I got is still my favorite: WATERMELON. I use this (very sparingly!) as a blush. It's a sheer medium pink (on me) and brightens up my face. Has some glitter / sparkle. Looks better than the orangey blushes usually recommended for warm toned complexions. If you have similar coloring, give it a try!
Shanna on Hydrangea Satin Petals Frost:
This really is a lovely wash of color swept across the lid. I paired it with LISIANTHUS after seeing a FOTD on the forum. The two colors blend beautifully and the frost is very subtle (at least for these two colors in this collection)! I am tempted by the other Satin Petal shades...;-)
Kris on Color Infusion Botanical Lipstick:
Gala is a wonderful berry shade, it has some sparkle to it, but on your lips it just looks like a soft glisten. It was a little more sheer than I thought it would be, and didn't wear very long. It's super moisturizing, and I'd use it in place of my tinted lib balm.
Rosebud, is more brown on me than I thought it would be. It's a great neutral color, that adds just a little something more to your lips. This one lasted almost 3 hours before I needed to touch up, and didn't bleed or smear at all. Love it.PROS:color
moisturizing
not sticky
no smearingCONS: sheer
Joanna on "coralfang" from Rocks! Sonic Eyes collection:
I got this as a sample baggie and thought it'd look atrocious on me....Rocks! has surprised me once again! These look really intense and bright in the bag, but tend to adapt to my skintone (when applied lightly!). Coralfang is a very pretty peachy color that can be used as either a warm eyeshadow that perks up your tired eyes, or a great blush that can be used to perk up your complexion. Don't judge it til you try it!
PROS: unexpectedly awesome!
CONS: Comes off as a bit shimmery - when I apply on my eyelids, the shimmer ends up on my cheeks :/
Amy H on Summer of Love lipgloss:
Best Lip Gloss Ever! I am very much a natural makeup person when it comes to my lip color. I am not much into lip sticks, I tend to wear the lip balms the most. And I stocked up on all my favorite lip glosses before they were discontinued. But this gloss is by far my favorite, now I have to buy some more before they are gone for good. I just love the sparkle in it.
Joanna on Glissade Mineral Foundation:
the best foundation I've ever used! I've been plagued with skin problems my whole life. I've tried every skincare regime, every concealer, and every foundation. This foundation is the BEST foundation I've ever used. It's the only one I've gone back to buy more than once (on my 4th!). My skin has improved since i'm not slathering chemicals all over it, and I need little to no concealer since it covers that well. I'm so glad I'm finally in a "stable relationship" with a foundation!
PROS: goes on smoothly, covers well, paraben free, comes in TONS of colors
CONS: NONE!
Shattered in Indelible Eyeliner Sealant:
I tried this today with a Pure Drama liner by putting a drop in an empty sample jar, adding some liner, and mixing the two with my brush. It worked wonderfully until my eyes watered up a few hours later - then it was in a big hurry to run down my face! Later on I decided to try wiping it off with a water-dampened tissue, and it came off rather easily. It looked great and seemed like it would last if my eyes had stayed dry.
PROS: Great if your eyes are going to stay dry, did not burn or itch (even when I mistakenly got my brush in my eye). CONS: Plan on not crying while using this.
Lisa Kate on "Creampuff" Gothic Lolita Lip Creme:
My favorite everyday lippie - Creampuff! Since buying Creampuff, I find myself reaching for it daily! I have very pale skin, but pigmented lips (which I hate) so I am always looking for something to soften the color a bit. Creampuff does just that - it is a semi-sheer wash of champagne shimmer. It doesn't completely wash my own lip color out, but rather buffs it in the prettiest way! The formula is divine and feels just as luxurious as the lip balms. Staying power is on the same line as a lipgloss...I can go a few hours before touching it up, but because of the light color, I can just slick it on easily! The smell is delicious, but fades away fairly quickly (although that is actually because of sensory adaption but I won't bore you with biology here!) Anyways, if you are looking for the best lippie ever, buy Creampuff!
PROS: -Beautiful color that goes on semi-sheer
-Awesome moisturizing formula
-Delicious scent
-Easy to use and reapplyCons: none
tmgardner on Indelible Creme Eyeshadows:
These are the best! I knew I loved the creme eyeshadows but a recent experience convinced me that there is nothing better. I use plumkin as a liner (the color is a little better than Tanzinite on my green eyes). I recently traveled to Italy (like Kristen) with my husband to celebrate 15 years of marriage. Creme eyeshadow was applied at 4am in Rome and required removal in California when we got home at midnight. That is over 24 hours that included 3 airports, 3 plane rides with sleeping, and lots on walking in an airport, without requiring any touch-up. The creme eyeshadow never budged. Now, how incredible is that?
PROS: Long lasting,
Multi-functional,
Don't budge,
1 jar lasts a really long time (cost effective)CONS: Can take some time getting use to application
Lauren on Aromatherapy Lipbalm:
Best lip balm Ever! I bought a few different kinds of the natural, organic, etc. lip balms at the drug store a while back, and none of them came Close to the moisturizing power of these babies! I use the plain one (JUST THE BALM, MA'AM). Just bought 3 of them because I couldn't stand using the inferior brands anymore. I layer it over my lipstick during the day and my lips stay moisturized for hours.
Christina on Pure Hue in "Cocoa Bean"
Excellent for everyday and smokey eye Love this color for my crease for everyday wear and for special or night events cocoa bean makes a great smokey eye effect. a little goes a long way!
PROS: durable, no fading, shimmer level just enough.
Krissy on Glissade Mineral Foundation:
Excellent Product! I have tried a lot of mineral foundations & this is one of the best! I can either wear the 2n or 2w, although I slightly prefer 2n because I feel it evens my reddish tones better. In BE, I wore the Light shade, which was a good match, except maybe a bit yellowish. EDM I wore Buff Light Neutral & in MAC either NC 25 or NC 30. Now on to this wonderful foundation, although I hesitate to call it a foundation because it is not like your traditional foundations. First, I use the Porcelaine underneath because I have combo skin & it tends to get a little oily, then I apply the Glissade with a flocked sponge(I feel I get the best coverage with this) & finish with the finishing powder (clear resolution). This whole process maybe takes a minute, as the Glissadee applies smoothly & evenly, not chalky like other minerals can be. Glissade lasts pretty much all day, although I might get a teeny bit oily but I expect that with my skin. I prefer the Glissade over the Voile because Glissadegives me more coverage & seems to work better on my skin as far as lasting power (I don't think Voile is a bad product, it's just that Glissade works better for me). Overall, I am very pleased with Glissade. No breakouts, rashes or hives (unlike some other brands). Glissade gives me the "my skin but better look".
PROS:Applies amoothly & evenly (no need to "buff"). Not "chalky" or "powdery" looking.
Long lasting.
Great Coverage.
No allergic reaction.
CONS: A little oily breakthrough but common with my skin.
